Solean

Soleans are a rynchocephalian reptile species, first appearing on the planet Solea.
Solea is a far-flung world on the galactic edge. Left unmolested by the wars and conquests of other empires, the Solean species was able to develop and spread, appearing on countless worlds as merchants and tradespeople. Records exist of Soleans conducting business on Elravia as far back as 1001 EAO.
Their history was not always so benign: internal strife and feudal warlords were once common. As Soleans grew tired of the chaos, they left their home world in droves. What was left burnt itself out centuries ago, although these dark times are still remembered in folklore and song.
Plasma technology is a Solean hallmark, particularly well-known in Solean-crafted cutting torches.
With colonists spread across the galaxy, Soleans can be found as part of armies and merchant fleets aligned with a variety of factions.

Solean physiology is reptilian, although they have long-since evolved homeostatic systems far more advanced than their cold-blooded distant relatives.
Cranial morphology can vary amongst Soleans: head spikes, serrated fins, and smoother ridges are all found in abundance.
