"The Lady"

Lady Onyeka Glimmerguard of Bossk was the wife and partner of Lord Rollin Glimmerguard, a proud if not overly high house from the Shadar-Kai city of Bossk. She was a strong willed woman gifted with good organizational skills and an ability to sway competent people to her cause. Her husband was a respected general and rising noble, though rumor at the time had it 'his' advancement at court was really down to his wife's influence. 
About 60 years ago, they were sent to defend against an incursion from the negative energy plain in this high valley of the Duhukasar. It quickly became clear this was no quick and easy campaign but a pitched battle with no foreseeable end unless they could contain the threat and consolidate power, so they established a settlement and fort for the purpose. By the time the fort was nearing completion, their court wizard finished the installation of the Arcane Arcade, a powerful tool for the destruction of undead. A short while later, both the reign of Shar (previous god of death who used the Shadowfell as a waystation for the dead on their way to the afterlife) and the incursion from the negative plane came to an abrupt end, removing the need for the fort. Not wanting to uproot or abandon the community she had been instrumental in creating, Lady Onyeka convinced her husband to remain and finish construction. 
However, a streak of disappearances and deaths quickly soured the settlement culminating in the disappearance of the Court Wizard, Therein Silvershock. Once the investigation led to The Innkeeper as the likely suspect both the investigator and Lord Rollin fell into a fitful magical sleep from which they never awoke again. When Lady Onyeka finally retraced the clues and confronted The Innkeeper, her real nature was revealed and she killed Lady Onyeka with magic. Shortly thereafter she rose again as a ghost and has been fighting The Innkeeper's influence ever since. The leaderless residents of the fort and settlement soon realized the place was now the site of a power struggle between undead and hellish forces and quickly abandoned the settlement. They resettled across the central valley in what is now Bosky Hollow.
