Fallen Mountain
Fallen mountain took its original state after the Fall of Throne. It acts as one of the important psychic locations(Physical locations which can have unknown, strange effects to its visitors) in the world. Its exact location is at Northern Gracina, near Naishas southern border.
The fall of the Throne played an important role for the creation of pillars. Once the royal proteans fell, stream(the invisible data bank and mental link among royal proteans) caused a psyhcic effect on some half-bloods in the world was taken over by their primal brain. This made them dangerous animal like creatures who only wants to kill. For years they started to kill random people and annihilate whole cities. This people allowed hicy to become the Stellarch and let it to take over their vulnerable minds(Which turned them into pillars.)
Fallen mountain has an effect on various people, but its effects can be negated or adapted. There are some people who visited there more than one time who have no effect, yet untill it fell, no one entered the ruins. It is assumed that entering it would result in madness.
A portion of the world doesn't believe many of the legends and assume that it was a natural phenomenon. There are too many different interpretation among believers as well. Many things about fallen mountain aren't a fact like Barq'alla, which many believes fallen mountain has links to it.
It's exact effect changes, but common one is glimpses, sounds and smells of Royal Proteans being ripped apart or feeling of their suffering as they lived. However, for various people it might have unexpected physical effects, like insomnia, headache, fainting, vomiting or even tearing cappilary veins... It also might have chronic effects...
Summary
Fallen mountain is considered a taboo place to many people, because of its vague effects to conscience and subconscience of people approaching to its general area. It might make someone unhinged, but many believe that it's effects are neutralized by great calm. Yet it changes from people to people and might still have effects on some.
Historical Basis
Nomads, Half-bloods and humans united and attacked the Throne. After a drawn out battle, Royal proteans were almost extinct, but their suffering were imprinted in the stream as well, because of this stream started to go haywire, effecting various people, turning them into monsterous people who attack anyone. To stop that, proto-protean, nomad proteans and half-blood masters collapsed the complex underground caves of Throne. After this, the throne was become to known as FALLEN MOUNTAIN.
This effort isolated this this destructive effect of stream and localized it. Yet it didn't stopped the ones who were already effected by it. They were stopped by Stellarch.
Unknown to many others, Royal proteans and ones who have royal protean gene could still connect to stream. Yet it is painful and risky.

Variations & Mutation
Mother Victory: Because of its fall, free the other species to become stronger and allowed countries to build their modern political structure.
Shameful Future: Some master alchemists and scholars believed it to be a shame because of the technological and alchemical techniques dissapeared.
Comin of Age: Some nomads believed the fall made their species to grow up and become the new leaders of the world.
Pillars Born: This event created people to become wild and unhinged. Made them bloodlust which eventually caused some of them to turn into Pillars.
Cultural Reception
Gracina believed themselves to be the watchers of the Fallen Mountain. Their bureocracy was constructed in order to monitor who visited that area and their alchemical tendencies(Jind Alchemy) was grown to make themselves inscrutable to its effects.
Naishas capitol Nathai Itha was inspired by Throne. Also Naishans believe that Barq'alla(Which was in their territory) had a similar, more extreme effect. They believed the two was connected(They were right)
Xean's culture is about building. This was supported by the fact of fallen mountain. There is a collective desire in Xean to rebuild fallen mountain into it's original state, yet various alchemists(Especially JindAlchemists of Xean) from around the world made sure to stop this from happening because of their understanding of stream.
In Literature
Gracinan Literature had a lot of writings on the history of fallen mountain. Because of them, the world knows about the myth of fallen mountain. Yet their works are rewritten by various indiviuals or organizations to accompany with their cultures or beliefs.
In Art
Xeanite guilds have known to made tapastries of fallen mountain and it's original state out of arequesa.
Xean's peaciful culture made them forgive Royal Proteans and resulted of their desire to protect the remaining royal proteans.(This belief created the grounds which made sure Xean was totaly destroyed at the fall of Equine) Also, this reflected on their art.
