Basalt Fiber
History & Usage
Everyday use
Woven meshes are used as reinforment in Thermalcrete and Infernal Ceramic.
Combined with steel cables to make Basteel Forms and Basteel Veilace.
Basalt superthin fibers (BSTF) - for the production of high quality heat and sound insulating and fireproof materials.

Cultural Significance and Usage
Because of the discovery and refinement of this material Thermalcrete was created. Because of this Tower Cities are able to reach higher in the sky.
Refinement
Basalt is cleaned, then crushed and heated to 2730 degrees. The now molten basalt is extruded into different sizes for different uses.
