The Spelljammer Graveyard

The realm between two planes of chaos, seemingly inhospitable to life of any kind.

Geography

Mountains of spelljammers ranging from large husks of Tsunami class to newer Shrike class and the corpses of Smalljammers. Pieces of these spelljammers from all manner of time and space cover the landscape. Portals of many colors hang in the sky, opening and closing in random locations, constantly dumping more ships and building the mountains higher. Farther above is millions of objects shifting and changing constantly, as the scene of Limbo is layed out above. The spelljammers are stacked so high that whatever ground is beneath is unable to be seen, if there is a ground beneath. This is the Spelljammer Graveyard, located between Limbo above and Pandemonium below. This demi-plane contains no known denizens nor life, created as a place to dump broken and ruined spelljammers, even those that were destroyed in other planes. The already fallen Spelljammers of older make remain as grey, unusable husks of what once was, appearing almost as stone. The younger make Spelljammers still retain some color and are possibly useable, but you'd have to be very lucky to find one amidst the wastes.

Localized Phenomena

The constant rain of Spelljammers from the above portals make traveling on the "surface", if you could even call it that, of the plain very dangerous. However, attempting to fly above the portals enters the dangers of Limbo. Furthermore, one can be unwillingly sent into Limbo by the occasional burst of wind from Pandemonium that breaks through the ships like a geyser of wind. So, the ideal place of travel would be between the already fallen Spelljammers, as is thought by many.

Climate

The demiplane's climate changes within hours, temperatures varying wildly in the day and the only constant being the falling Spelljammers.

Flora and Fauna

(This can be found with a DC 30 Nature or Arcana Check) Underneath the surface of the plane, between the Spelljammers piled against one another in such stacks that they are held together by their own weight and merging rot, there exists creatures unknown to the majority of the Planescape. These creatures lack name (the DM can give one or allow the Players to name them), and those who've seen them and lived to tell the tale are not even sure they themselves are sane. However, of the few who speak of it, the description is the same: creatures that resemble the undead, with hides like stone, yet move with the agility of insects. These creatures effectively act in similar manner to roaches, feeding off of the husks and residual magic of the Spelljammers to recieve sustenance, and will kill anything that intrudes into their territory. They are naturally swarming creatures, traveling in groups of up to 20.

The Big One

(If Players were to explore deep enough in the demiplane they would eventually find a large Pyramid class Spelljammer. Within is the following creature) The entire Spelljammer is hollowed out, all of the contents within consumed and the magic within depleted long ago. The other creatures seem to stay away from here, those who enter never coming back. In the room's center is a gargatuan, arachnidine creature, seeming to made of a comnination of rotting organics and rusting metal. It has ten legs like giant needles, and a mantis-like head set on a neck, the head covered by the front of a Tsunami class Spelljammer. From the creatures bloated abdomen, large cables of some unknown material can shoot out into a giant web that covers the entirety of the Pyramid's inside, divided into many levels that the creature can go between with ease. It will attempt to eat anything it sees, preferring to kill it and let the corpse rot, all the while collecting more corpses before eating all of them in one bite. Otherwise, it feeds off of the residual magic of the Spelljammer's around it.
