Elemental Plane of Fire

The Elemental Plane of Fire is one of the Inner Planes in the Cosmology of Krynn, which is the home of fire elementals, and all manner of other creatures associated with flame. The plane is in truth not a plane at all, but an emanation from The Hidden Vale into The Gray, and is a pocket of the transitive realm that is dominated by the element of fire. This region is a realm of plates of compressed flame, with air that is charged with the heat of firestorms, and has gateways into the Material Plane. The Elemental Plane of Fire varies from oceans filled with liquid flame, mountain filled with molten lava, and constantly ever-burning landscapes. Travellers into this realm find themselves under threat not only from being burnt, but also from the toxic smoke in the air. The realm is lit by the glow of the many fires; however the smoke obscures vision to a degree.
Natives in this region speak the Ignan Language, and are exceedingly comfortable in the fiery wastes. Fire elementals are the most common denizen of this realm, however azers, efreet, salamanders, fire mephits, steam mephits, magma mephits, magmin and even the occasional rast are known to dwell here as well.
