Negative Energy Plane

The Negative Energy Plane is one of the Inner Planes in the Cosmology of Krynn, which is the home of undead, and all manner of other creatures associated with draining life. The plane is in truth not a plane at all, but an emanation from The Abyss into The Gray, and is a pocket of the transitive realm that is dominated by negative energy. This region is a great black void filled with seemingly emptiness, always dominated by darkness, and has gateways into the Material Plane. Travellers into this realm find that the Negative Energy Plane is the deadliest of the Inner Planes, quickly draining light and life from all those, unless magically protected against these effects. There is also no air on this plane, and all items used here have about half the normal effects, due to the constant drain of energy and life.
Undead are the most common denizen of this realm, specifically wights, wraiths, spectres, vampires, liches, and the strange xeg-yi are known to dwell here as well.
