Lower Dura Sewers

The dark and dank sewer networks of Lower Dura serve as a perfect reflection of lower Dura's fall to ruin. The dirty and disgusting waters have only become more decrepit over the hundreds of years, caking not only the floor of the river of shit with grime and rot, but also the walls, ceiling, and walkways as the particles of waste have aerosolized in the biological heat and slowly covered everything in a disgusting film. Even so, the unwelcoming nature of such an area make it a prime example of the type of location that begets secrecy and equally as decrepit activities.

Purpose / Function

They are darn sewers. Shit goes in, shit comes out, that's how shit goes.

Alterations

Mysterious script written along the walls point to a more nefarious purpose than the usual "shit goes in, shit comes out" action carried along by the sewers. A pile of dead goblin teens is also not a very good sign.

Architecture

A brick tunnel covers a river of rotten water flanked by walkways made of the same brick as the rest of the tunnel. Twists and turns are abundant along with many diverging paths.

History

These sewers are as old as Sharn itself, belonging to the relatively advanced origins of the original humans to siege Sharn from the goblins prior. Now it only serves to push the shit out of the city to the sea, no longer a point of admiration pointing to the advanced and clean nature of the great city.
