Hobgoblin

Hobgoblins are the largest of the Goblin species in Dunyalem. Originating from Nokawa, hobgoblins were the dominant species for hundreds of years. Hobgoblin communities were highly military in nature, and the nation was divided into territories owned by different hobgoblin warlords. Their superiority was headlined by their samurai warriors, highly disciplined fighters who quickly defeated their less prepared foes.
The hobgoblins' dominance was eventually toppled by the rise of the gith, who matched the hobgoblins in martial prowess and tactical brilliance. However, the gith's psionic and mystic powers gave them the edge, and they were able to defeat the hobgoblins. Rather than driving them away, the gith absorbed the hobgoblins within their culture, utilising the hobgoblin army and their samurai to establish dominance in Nokawa.
Today, hobgoblins still make up a large proportion of Nokawa's forces, as well as those of the Jade Republic. For many, becoming a samurai is the ultimate honour, and the oldest and wisest teach the practice to other species.
