Keranov

Keranov is one of the four nations in the Jade Republic, situated to the West of the Jade Sea. It is a nation plagued by constant fog and a large number of monstrous species. The cause of these is unknown, but legend tells of the land itself being cursed, which has lead to the Keranov Curse becoming discussed throughout Dunyalem. The residents of Keranov are hardy, and many have developed darkvision and a sensitivity to sunlight due to the unique weather. Keranov was founded by Saint Vetja, a powerful mage who defeated the vampiric and fiendish overlords who tormented the mortal inhabitants of Keranov. Vetja went on to establish the Order of Dawn's Light, a group of holy warriors who hunt monsters and fiends. As part of joining the Jade Republic, the Order opened chapters in Felorno, Nokawa and Bhannachat. Keranov is ruled by a Tsar, an inherited position that tracks its lineage back to Saint Vetja.
