Lizardfolk

Lizardfolk are the most populous species in Bhannachat. Prior to the forming of the Jade Republic, the lizardfolk were forced to bow to the authority of the yuan-ti rulers of the nation.
Since the forming of the Republic, lizardfolk have been granted more freedom. Of note, the Jadhra Academy of Bhannachat now allows members of all species, giving lizardfolk previously unprecedented access to arcane knowledge. While lizardfolk are not as naturally inclined to magic as yuan-ti, their larger population has led the number of lizardfolk in the Academy to rival the number of yuan-ti, something not all are pleased about.
Many lizardfolk still harbor distrust or fear about their former overlords, and some do not appreciate the power the yuan-ti still hold in Bhannachat.
