Nokawa

Nokawa is one of the four nations in the Jade Republic, situated to the South of the Jade Sea. It is a nation with a history of warfare and conflict, first between the feuding hobgoblin warlords and then by the gith who defeated the warlords and assimilated their settlements, unifying the land as a single nation. Despite being at peace for over a thousand years, Nokawa has the largest military force in Dunyalem. The military is tied deeply into the nation's culture, with most inhabitants expected to enlist when they come of age. Nokawa's most elite troops are the samurai warriors, trained in closely guarded techniques. These samurai are used as the personal guard for the leaders of all four nations in the Jade Republic. Nokawa is ruled by the commander of the army, a position appointed by the highest ranking generals in the nation. While most of these commanders have been gith, a few hobgoblins have risen through the ranks to lead Nokawa.
