The Kindred Empire

The Kindred Empire spans the majority of the continent of Astarta, from East of the Avounnine Mountains to the borders of the northern forests. The Empire started in the city-state of Weinhundt, the origin of the Kindred Faith. The Empire formed as the Faith spread to the neighbouring city-states, eventually extending to the majority of Astarta. Life in the Empire is faith-based, with inhabitants expected to follow the teachings of the Kindred Faith and follow the laws of the High Leader, the highest ranking member of the church. The Kindred Empire is still recovering from its involvement in the Pekkora War, rebuilding its army and attempting to recover its global image. As a direct result of the Pekkora War and the spellbomb that ended it, the Empire now requires all magic users to register and receive training to ensure noone misuses their abilities. The Empire is lead by the High Leader of the Kindred Faith, a post that is chosen by the High Priests of the Faith and normally served for life.
