Tiefling

Tieflings are humanoids with physically fiendish traits, often sporting horns, tails or goat-like legs, as well as skin colours not commonly seen in humanoid species, from bright reds to deep blues. The reason for these fiendish similarities is a topic of dispute. Some believe tieflings are simply fiendish beings who exist in the mortal realm, while others believe they are the result of an ancient deal with an arch-fiend. Many believe the cause of their fiendish aspect is the same as the supposed cause of all the dangers found in Keranov, the so called Curse.
Tieflings are one of the most common species in Keranov, leading to most in the nation being used to their presence. The same can't be said elsewhere, with tieflings often experiencing distrust or downright prejudice from folks not used to their fiendish appearance. This has led to an increase of tieflings within the Order of Dawn's Light, particularly in chapters operating outside of Keranov, as a way to show that they are not inherently evil beings.
