Warforged

Warforged are an artificially created species, an arcane combination of biological and techonological components. Warforged represent a collaboration between the nations of Djakalia, crafted by Al-Dhorman artificers, infused with mithral from Lungoyan mines and animated with Zafkan magic. They were created to give Djakalia the edge during the Pekorra war, and during the end of the conflict the majority of organic forces were pulled out in favour of Warforged.
The majority of the warforged created during the war were destroyed in the spell-bomb that ended the war. Today, warforged are not a common sight. Their creation is a very costly and time intensive procedure, difficult to justify outside of war time. Current day warforged are usually created with a specific purpose in mind, usually by those with more funds than sense. A few veterans of the war remain, most haunted and traumatised by their experience in Pekorra. Some also speak of a rare few warforged who exhibit more sentience and will than their history implies.
