The Crown Heralds

The Crown Heralds are an order of bards, heralds and minstrels endorsed by the Crown.

Membership of the order grants prestige and recognition as their word is considered more trustworthy than that of a civilian. Crown Heralds are also granted some legal protections in order to help them carry out their work, including a blanket pardon for previous activities granted upon induction to the order.

The order is quite exclusive. New members can only be inducted by the Crown family, a duke of the Crown, or The Herald Extraordinaire.
