Chitepanco
Once a gleaming oasis within the jungle, filled with flourishing families and friendships, the city of Chitepanco is now but a shadow of itself; a long-lost ruin, forgotten by its people, and hidden from their descendants.
Constructed within a natural alcove to the jungle walls, it was known for its prolific art, literature and music, making it a beacon of culture across the land. Like most Kenan cities, its central layered pyramid served the purpose of agriculture, allowing its citizens to stay safely within the confines of their dwelling. At the top of this pyramid rested a Molochaven reputed for its craftsmanship. Made out of green jade and petrified flowers, it was engraved with traditional poems with golden filigree. This ensured the safety of the settlement and the preservation of its legacy.
Government
Chitepanco, like most Kenan cities, was governed by a council of 5 members; a Warlord, an Apostle, a Treasurer, a Guardian of Ethos, and a Fysi Monk. In Chitepanco, they were elected by the people among candidates presenting themselves and seated for 2 years before reelection.
Defences
Built within a natural enclave of the jungle, Chitepanco benefited from a natural advantage over its enemies, and though it was vulnerable to overhead assaults, the garrisons of expertly trained archers stationed at the top of its pyramid made for great aerial defense.
History
Like all cities within the Outlands, the day Divinity was banished was the Chitepanco lost all its defences. Now vulnerable to assaults and uniquely isolated from its sister cities, the people fled their home, often with relics of their Golden City's culture, and threw themselves into the jungle with little to no preparation. Few emerged.
