Entry 3: Cleanliness is Next to Godliness
It was a difficult time entering the gates of Winter Bloom, at least for me. Vampires are not allowed, so I had to confess what I am. Evan already knew, I can only owe it to his observational skills and that he is counted as one of my best friends. I was afraid that I would be rejected after letting the resistance know that I was a vampire, but Crow took it in stride and smuggled me in. This gives me hope that there are others like me who see the wrong in how the humans are treated. If the freedom fighters are willing to smuggle a vampire into their most sacred city, all vampires can't have wanted to hurt them.... can they?
Truth be told, I was expecting the reception to my news to be as terrible as it was. I think the only reason I wasn't staked on the spot was the fact that they don't know what my runes are any more than I do. I did find out they are powerful magic and that they are not regular runes, Pandora was the only one amongst all the magic users that could glean anything from them. I was also surprised at all the royals, each one inviting me to make my home in their kingdom. I would rather stay and fight, if the resistance will have me...
Regardless, the confession of my sins has washed me clean.
