Entry 6: Mean Heat
All I wanted was a corner and some time to myself in this cramped house. But that’s not fair to everyone else, since they can’t have time alone either. Evan was the first to speak to me, and I am glad he did. He gave me the chance to talk to him about why I was so angry and how helpless I felt when he was carried away. I think he understood. I hope he did, anyway. I don't think I could survive losing him when I have little in the way of friends among all of us here. But... I'm a vampire and they are food at war with my kind.
Nevertheless, my attempts at solitude ended in a very public reading of the book I was currently engrossed in. Mean Heat. Embarrassingly enough, everyone kept referring to it as ‘research material’... which, perhaps it is but I wouldn’t tell any of them that. Sadly, Pandora relayed to us all that she was unable to save any more like it before the crash. I hope that thing that attacked the ship choked on the books, because I don't know how many times I will be able to read this before it gets boring.
