Adymoi

The "Archfae"

Incredibly powerful spirits, each of the Adymoi is the embodiment of some aspect of physical or metaphysical nature. Some mortals refer to these beings as "archfae". As they are a manifestation of what they represent, most of the Adymoi have no responsibilities. Instead they are content to simply enjoy existence, though with their own methods of enjoyment.

Known Adymoi (common names):

Order & Chaos: Androgynous twins, Order and Chaos are thought to be the oldest of their kind. They strive to live in harmony and balance, as one lives within the other. More than any other Adymoi, their power waxes and wanes with civilization, as mortals have such a great influence over the natural order and chaos of their environments.

Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter: Four sisters represent the seasons, and each commands elemental abilities respective of theirs. Ni'onem legends claim these Adymoi to be the mothers, or creators, of their race.

Mirage: A trickster with powers of illusion, their form is reflective of the perceiver's beliefs. They delight in toying with the hopes of mortals, and revel in the disappointment that follows.

Karma: Choosing to appear as a curvaceous woman, her personality switches from bubbly joy when rewarding good deeds, to sadistic glee when doling out punishment.

As representations of natural phenomena, the Adymoi have abilities that align with their respective aspect. These powers can be creative, destructive, transformative, or simply imaginary.
