Afterlives
While a long debated topic, one theory has risen to prominence regarding what happens to the soul after death. In short, it goes where your beliefs align. If you worship a particular god in life, your soul goes to their ring in The Supernal Realms, recreated into a form blending one's self-image with characteristics of your deity. Those who are inclined towards evil are instead whisked off to Anafemir, their souls left to the whims of whatever demon or devil finds it first. Atheists are bound to their own body; those who are good at heart experience nothing after death, only eternal peace, while those of neutral morality are more likely to devolve into restless spirits upon the slightest nudge from necromantic energies.
Fae and fae-touched beings -notably druids- are believed to generally have their souls recycled into nature upon death, providing energy back into the life cycle. Some believe that reincarnation into new forms is common for these souls, perhaps finding new life as animals or awakened plants.
Resurrection
Since an atheist’s soul is usually bound to their body, they are far easier to raise compared to religious souls, which need to be convinced back on top of being forced through the Hallowed Shroud.
