Order of the Golden Horn
Structure
- Oblate: Volunteers or other general persons who consistently support the Order but are not full time members
- Postulant: Persons who have committed to supporting the Order, often through labor in upkeeping the monastery, farming or cooking for the Order
- Aspirant: Those Postulants who wish to achieve a higher purpose and prove their devotion ascend to Aspirant, and begin training to pass the trials to become a monk. These trials are generally tests of what they will be expected to do. As such, some Aspirants are sent out alongside a senior Witness to travel the world.
- Witness: Those who have completed the trials to become monks, culminating in reaching the lair of their benefactor. A handful of Witnesses stay at the Monastery to direct the postulants and oblates, and provide their wisdom to the people of Dorei and the surrounding area. The majority, however, set off into the world to help others and oppose evil as adventurers, all the while gathering information on the state of the world to relay back to their master.
- Hieromonk: The elder monks who lead the monastery, advise the Dorei government, guide and train their juniors.
