Voidiron

A strange ore unique to the Frosthorn, this metal absorbs light and heat, and as such tends to be found covered in a layer of ice. However, it is rigid without being brittle. Due to these properties, the ore requires extremely high heats to forge and work, and is dangerous to hold directly. As such, it is generally used in its raw state: chunks incorporated into weapons to give chilling effects, or built into insulated storage chests to preserve food.
