Summary
Those that believe in this telling of creation tell tales of a mighty war between the forces of good and evil. They believe that mortalkind once existed, but the forces of evil were able to wipe them out before the war was over.
They believe that the The Primogenitors were the last surviving celestials of the war and that, upon teaching the races, they returned to the Upper Planes. They say that when mortalkind proves itself worthy, the gods will once more have power over the realm. If it should fall in disgrace, the gods will forever turn away, allowing the Lower Planes free reign over the world.
Historical Basis
Study of the ruins has led some to believe that there were struggles in whatever overtook mortalkind previously.
Cultural Reception
This myth is held in high regards by a variety of people. Servants of good deities seek the return of the gods to the realms. Cults to evil deities seek the reign of the Lower Planes, expecting rewards for the part they play. Believers of this myth are constantly in conflict with believers of the Nature Myth.

Depictions of this myth often portray great battles between the forces of good and evil. Planetars facing off with Balors under Surerus, turning the sky a light red.
