For reasons hitherto unknown, several dead deities came back to life.

Believed to have been caused by the Drow, many deities long dead returned to life. it is believed that this was the Drows' doing because every dead Drow deity came back to life: a fact not seen in any other pantheon. This results in dramatic changes among the gods and several holy wars. However, none would even dream of approaching the massive scale of bloodshed in the Underdark as Lolth unleashed all her fury on an unsuspecting duo of Good deities.
