Standard Coinage
There is nothing better to feel the weight of coins in your purse.

Before most of Padun started using the same standard for coins each nation would use their own sizes, weights and materials. This led to some annoyance when long distance trade started growing.
Over time neighbouring countries stared using the same weight for all coins, irrespective of the material used. This allowed for standardising quick tests used to determine the authenticity of the coins based on their density.
The coins that are commonly found are the copper coin , the silver coin and the gold coin . While there are other materials used, like wood for children or steel if it's a rare resource, they are not accepted everywhere.
The standard coinage is meant to be used in small everyday transactions, while larger ones will be using bars of a suitable material, usually gold or silver.
Manufacturing process
If one wanted to make a coin the standard method was to melt the metal, cast a small pellet in the right shape and weight, before minting them with the local markings of authentication.
