The Hollow

The Haven of Verinoth

Created by Christopher Moore
The Hollow was created by the Fae as a magical home for themselves and as a place of refuge for worthy travelers. It changes to suit the needs of its inhabitants, but it is always made of live trees and plants. It is all one living creature that the fae of Verinoth care for.

Purpose / Function

The Fae made the Hollow as a sanctuary to peaceful folk. The Hollow gives food of fruit and vegetables; beds of soft mosses and leaves; and the hospitality of the fae.

Alterations

The Hollow is constantly changing, but since its creation, there have been no major alterations

Architecture

The Fae are some of the only biengs (besides wizards learned in the area of magic) that can carve into trees while keeping them in full health, and persuade plants to grow in such irregular formations

History

The Fae made it long ago, but due to their tendency to remain in the background of history, the date it was finished has never been made clear. However, accounts of travellers taking refuge in the Hollow started to appear in the First Age.
