Vwlltyg Sea

Geography

The Misty Sea is a dangerous place, for in it lies a series of extremely active volcanoes that produce a constant supply of steam form magma hitting the water. Despite the volcanic activity, the region is deathly cold, and only several layers of furs will keep a mortal Man warm. The terrain is constantly changing, with spires of cooled lava forming and then being broken off by an iceberg and fickle winds due to the contrasting cold and hot banks of air. In addition, a certain phenomena known as a ghost glacier can be found in this region. It forms when a large chunk of magma splashes into the sea, bringing up a giant splash along with lots of steam that instantly crystallizes into ice. Now, sometimes, the chunk of magma stay hot long enough to drop out of the bottom and leave the ghost glacier hollow on the inside even though it appears to be a full-blown iceberg. These are virtually harmless, but very alarming as they move very fast (because of their light weight) and will appear out of nowhere and crash to pieces onto a ship. However, when the chunk stays inside the ghost glacier, it becomes highly volatile, for its big hollow top part will catch winds to move just as quick as another ghost glacier, but the chunk of rock will bore into ships and destroy them.

Fauna & Flora

The giants are proficient breeders of all manner of ferocious and oversized species of animal. The small amount of inhabitable land (and a fair share of the uninhabitable land) is populated by giants and their beasts, but many mysterious ocean creatures lie beneath the turbulent waters of the Vwlltyg who are responsible for many watery deaths of intrepid sailors and their boats.
