Mythology & Lore

It was said that when the gods created the worlds they made their inhabitants weak and unable to defend themselves. So Avain threw storms at them to prepare them for the dangers that lay ahead   They say you can hear Avains battle cry with each jolt of thunder. He is each wave you hit-a test to keep you on your toes. he is that chance encounter with a deadly creature building your body's immunity to its toxin.

Cosmological Views

Gods are beings of unimaginable energy that lat themselves to the beliefs of mortals. The faith of mortals provides a deity with not only power but the purpose. Gods can have many forms and they change them frequently. Once they have attached themself to a domain that enough mortals believe in they assume their role. For example, the divine entities might assume their place in the domain of fine cooking and win now any faith within the psychical planes tied to that domain fuels that god. Any being of raw power that does not assume godhood runs the risk of being consumed by other more powerful beings or dissipating back into raw unintelligent energy.   For Avain worshipers, they believe he is the storm and manifests all storms in the realm.

Tenets of Faith

Tenets:   Embrace the Storm: See challenges as opportunities for growth, not hardships to avoid. Test Your Mettle: Push your limits physically and mentally, seeking ever-greater resilience. Respect the Fury: Appreciate the power of nature's untamed forces, learning to navigate them with respect. Honor the Struggle: Recognize that victory comes through struggle, not ease. Be the Maelstrom: Channel the storm's energy within, becoming as unpredictable and unstoppable as the winds. Leave No Challenge Unfaced: Actively seek trials and hardships to hone your skills and spirit. Share the Wisdom of the Tempest: Teach others the lessons learned from facing storms, both inner and outer. Aid Those Lost in the Gale: Extend a helping hand to those struggling in the face of adversity. Never Cower, Always Dance: Move with the storm, adapting and reacting with strength and agility. The Storm Never Ends: Life is a constant challenge, embrace the journey, not the destination.

You worship Anvin by participating in battle. though in some cases meditation while at seas or during a storm is a accepted spiritual practice.

Priesthood

Those of the highest faith are granted clerical powers how ever Paladins and even Barbarians have been able to receive the storm's boon.
