Due to long histories associated with the main geitlan religion, Our Lady of Perpetual Dark, geitlan tend to almost always receive some sort of magical training, and many powerful geitlan mages, wizards, witches, and sorcerers are known to the pages of history. It is said that the smell of geitlan magic is so strong, that one can smell it even an hour after one has left the premises.
