Earck -The Father Land-

“The most ancient of legends say that in the beginning, there was only one thing, Elthrenexta. Into the emptiness he sung the eternal song of Life. Ever changing yet ever the same, through his song Time was brought into existence. Through Time change was brought to the universe, and all that is Nature was made. Elthrenexta brought forth the stars and planets and all living beasts and creatures. They burned with his song and lived. He also created powerful beings, some he granted free will, some he did not. Twelve he made great, appointed to be his counsel and to carry out his commands. However, one of the greatest; Shlank, broke his command trying to take a greater place than Elthrenexta had given him. He was thrown out for his treason and became filled with hatred. He set himself against Elthrenexta and all he had made, but since he could not destroy what Elthrenexta had created, he bent all his power on twisting and distorting. Many other great and powerful beings he pulled down with him, corrupting, tempting and enticing into his service. Now, Elthrenexta saw that the demons hated and envied his work, and so he made creatures to guard and heal any harm they might do. Three he made, one to heal the soul, one to heal the mind, and one to heal the body. All three he filled with his everlasting song and gave them the charge to keep what he had made safe, and thus he sent them into his world.” (Passage from ancient Adriphite lore currently stored in Amatrio, Brazlefast.)   Earck is one of the largest continents on a tidal locked planet. Due to this, the northern end of Earck is always far colder, and the Southern end much hotter. It is orbited by a moon named Elran, which produces a very strong light, acting as a lamp for the planet. The planet itself orbits a huge sun, named Elro, which gives very little light but much heat.
