The Dawn of Man

"The Dawn of Man" was a book written by the author Pétrica Voiletta Ilum, being published in 722. The book applies the scientific method to various forbidden fields of study (such as the so called "Arcanic Arts"). The book follows the principles of the division of consciousness and the individual's personality, claiming that the personality changes the state of what the book calls as "Apparatus", which roughly translates to the creature's mental and physical state. The book further claims that the mind and the body control each others states by varied emotions and sensations.
