Frewoldt Freeholdings
After the collapse of the Darkness, settlers from Bulverk moved east into the lands that were once elven. This was not condoned by Bulvirk, but surprisingly, it was encouraged by the Neldar of El-Hiemdele. They traded with the settlers for food and supplied them with tools. Fostered and encouraged, Frewoldt has grown prosperous and agrarian.
The folk of Frewoldt have adopted an interesting family system. A house is often a group of three to 6 nuclear families living in conjoined lodgings and sharing a common courtyard. Each house maintains a large plot of land communally. This behavior probably began in the early days of Frewoldt as a measure of protection in otherwise lawless and feral lands.
Recently Frewoldt has begun logging in the north and shipping lumber both west and east. Mining as well has begun in the southern rifts. Frewoldt is also in a prime location for trade, as it has a port on the Easterly gulf and beyond.
