Albert Wilmarth, PhD
Professor of English, specialist in New England folklore. He becomes head of the English Department in 1930. Between his departmental responsibilities and his delicate temperment he now sends graduate students and junior faculty to gather folklore first-hand.
Aside from his knowledge of language and letters, Wilmarth is also a learned New England historian and a member of the Arkham Historical Society. Harvard-educated, he was born and raised in Arkham and is presently master of the family home at 118 Saltonstall Street.
