Horace Walsh (a.k.a. Diamond)

Horace "Diamond" Walsh came to Arkham several years ago from Boston. He had worked as an importer there and wanted to strike out on his opwn away from his former employers and make a fresh start. While Arkham may seem an unusual place to start an importation business, he certainly had no other competition and the local immigrant community ans well as providing services for teh wealthy have made him modestly successful. The company mainly deals in delivery of exotic and ethnic foods for the Boston and New York markets as well as the few but growing immigrant communities in Arkham. Despite their modest beginnings, Horace Walsh appears to be doing quite well for himself.

Horace grew up in a mixed Irish (father) and Italian (mother) family and attended parochial schools through highschool. His Italian background and intelligence enabled him to land a job with an Italian Import company out of highschool despite his Irish heritage where he quickly rose in position.

Education

Graduated from Saint Joseph Catholic High School in Boston.

Employment

After highschool, Horace found work as a stock boy at Detorio Importers in Boston where he learned the trade and was rapidly promoted up the ranks to a leading account manager. Despite his success at Detorio's he decided to go out on his own and moved to Arkham where he opened Miskatonic Valley Imports.

While he is a legitimate business man, he has been known to handle importations of a more dubious nature if the price is right. In particular, he has used Valentino Ratti as a go between for bringing in things from Florence, Italy.

Mannerisms

Quick to anger, quick to calm down. A conversation can turn on a dime with Horace and he can be raging at one moment and then laughing and joking the next. It can be extremely difficult to tell where one stands with him at any given time.

Hobbies & Pets

Horrace keeps an emormous bullfrog named "Ruby" in his offices and often talks to her and behaves as if she actually responds to him.
