The Explorer's Guide to Charter Cities

The Explorer's Guide to Charter Cities is a travel guide published by Steiger-Wakeman Global Media in both print and digital formats, and updated on a yearly basis. As the title suggests, it is a travel guide to the various charter cities of the world. There are hundreds of editions of the Explorer's guide, with at least one for every city covered by the series. As many charter cities have their own laws or legal codes, the Guide provides a list of what differs from the national laws. The Guide is aimed at tourists, and as such focuses heavily on tourist attractions within the charter cities, and their immediate surroundings in the house country (if available).

The Guide is well received by most reviewers, consistently scoring highly in accuracy, editing, and the quality of advice. The first edition was published in 2034, focusing on the city of Gates in Liberia. Since then, it has expended to include nearly every charter city on Earth, as well as several non-charter cities. Common chapters within the books include local laws, eating, accomodation, entertainment, job opportunities, immigration, cultural sites, and out-of-city locations. Steiger-Wakeman Global Media editors check each charter city every year to ensure that the guides remain up-to-date. Some of the most popular guide books in terms of sales quanitity are for the cities of Gates, Elysium, and Sarissa.
