The Stax
The Stax is a towering labyrinth of metal and concrete that dominates the skyline of the Power Towers zone. It is home to the power grid, the beating heart of the city that keeps the lights on and the machines running.
The buildings that make up the Stax are massive, towering edifices that stretch towards the heavens. They are constructed of reinforced steel and concrete, and their surfaces are covered in a patchwork of wires and pipes that snake in and out of the structure like veins.
These buildings serve as batteries, storing the energy generated by the geothermal power plants that lie in the under city. The energy is stored in massive capacitors that are housed within the buildings, and it flows through a complex network of wires and conduits that crisscross the Stax.
The Stax is a dangerous place, filled with hazards that could easily lead to injury or death. The buildings are constantly humming with the hum of electricity, and the air is thick with the smell of ozone. The floors are slick with oil and lubricants, and the walls are covered in a layer of grime and soot.
The workers who toil in the Stax are a hardy breed, toughened by years of exposure to the harsh conditions. They wear thick, insulated suits and carry tools and equipment that allow them to navigate the treacherous terrain. They are constantly on the move, repairing and maintaining the complex machinery that keeps the city running.
Despite the danger, the Stax is a vital part of Lotus City, providing the power that keeps the city alive. And while the workers who labor within its walls may not be celebrated or recognized, they know that their work is essential to the survival of the city and its inhabitants.
