Honorary Avengers

Structure

Among the Honorary Avengers, there is no hierarchy; each member is a volunteer and subject to the same regulations and laws as any citizen of the United States. Members of the group are to report directly to Clint Barton (aka Hawkeye) or Barbara Morse (aka Mockingbird) who act as direct liaisons to S.H.I.E.L.D.

S.H.I.E.L.D. has the primary invested interest in the group and only with their authority do the Honorary Avengers operate.

Culture

"To be the heroes the world needs" is a common core belief among members of the Honorary Avengers; to replace their predecessors is another core belief that some members share.

Public Agenda

The world needed someone to stand up to Hydra and its corruption; the Honorary Avengers were the ones tasked with doing so.

Assets

The Honorary Avengers operate out of the Avengers' Mansion and our of Avengers' Tower (fka Stark Tower). While both of these properties are technically owned by Tony Stark, but latter had been gifted to the Honorary Avengers in 2021. The former was repossessed by the U.S. Government following financial difficulties Stark Tech Enterprises encountered prior to the Honorary Avengers forming in 2020.

Additionally, an entire fleet of "decommissioned" Stark Tech Enterprises' Iron Man suits were donated to the Honroary Avengers by Tony Stark himself. The fleet was programmed to defend Avengers' Mansion and Avengers' Tower exclusively.

Disbandment

Following the conclusion of the Red Serpent Rises and the dissolution of S.H.I.E.L.D. (as well as many world governments), the Honorary Avengers fell to the same fate. With no more primary government backing and no financial insurance, what members remained of the team of superheroes disbanded on September 1st, 2030.
