The Viet Cong began their invasion of South Vietnam.
The world knew peace for no more than 2 years before the Siancong War broke out in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. The U.S. quickly aligned themselves with South Vietnam, bolstering the “allies” ranks against the formidable forces of evil. Hydra was heavily suspected to have funded and influenced the decisions of the “axis” that supported North Vietnam.
In 1959, the communist parties of North Vietnam (aka the Viet Cong) had begun to wage war on the allies of South Vietnam. A bloody invasion that brought the conflict between the American Government and Hydra to the forefront of the news.
