The Red Serpent Rising began with the emergence of the Red Devil-Hulk, piloted by the demonic entity Mephisto, through a corrupted Green Door in the Los Diablos Missile Base. Mephisto's intent was to unleash chaos and destruction, amassing an army of souls known as the Six-Year Army to conquer the world. This unexpected and devastating attack caught the heroes off guard, setting the stage for a desperate battle against the forces of darkness as they sought to prevent Mephisto's reign and save humanity from its impending doom.
