Animosity Towards Team Lambda

Though not an actual official conflict, it is no secret that most of the Butterscotch has nothing short of disdain for its sub-organization@ Lambda.   The various and seemingly random and systematic malicious acts against Lambda are not exactly hidden, but generally are not overt enough to warrant a response from the various investigation and enforcement divisions of Butterscotch (assuming that members of the enforcement and investigation sections arent themselves actively participating).

The Conflict

The Engagement

This is not a formal war, and there is no formal combat. This is a battle fought with negging, sabotage, and general disruption of the day-to-day operations of Team Lambda. Other teams and supply divisions also manage to mess with Lambda's provisions, giving them sub-standard, or outright unusable/inconsumable items and food.   This is effectively a civil cold war, and it is extremely one-sided. It would be more apt to call it bullying than a conflict.

Outcome

Animosity has been building over the last few years between Lambda and the rest of the agency. Lambda is extremely outnumbered and outgunned, so they must deal with it or risk escalation and their subsequent annihilation.   Butterscotch, due to the size, power, and authority advantage, has essentially no repercussons for their belidgerence towards Lambda. They will generally refrain from doing the members grevious and/or permanent harm due to the various skill sets of the individual members of the team.

Historical Significance

The very notion of Team Lambda was originally a joke, as the team did not officially exist until approximately 5 years ago, due to the attack and partial destruction of Butterscotch HQ. Due to the rather extenuating circumstances, and some exceptional actions by certain individuals, it was decided that both punishment and commendations were required. Since these 2 responses cancelled each other out, and execution would be a waste of raw talent, Team Lambda was officially formed, and the stigma that the hither-to non-existent entity had carried over into its now present incarnation and the members therein.
