Boston Park Plaza
The settlement built in Boston Park Plaza is one of many settlements dotting the ruins of Boston. Set in the old hotel, much od the first floor has been repurposed into a series of common rooms and locations. A security checkpoint has been placed outside of all entrances and the roof has been re-purposed to be used for farming. though that is not enough to sustain the entire settlement and they have begun work to utilize the connected building, such as Park Place for similar uses.
Government
The Settlement is run by a council. The members of the council, who are in charge of the general running of the settlement including food distribution, security, the creation and enforcement of laws and the anything else it may entail are voted into position twice a year.
Defences
The Plaza has a wall built around it and a series of sniper nests along the sides of the building. The sniper nests are re-purposed rooms that are now used solely for security and in the off chance that they grow overcrowded. Each entrance first has a security checkpoint, a secure wall with a rampart built to allow them to ascertain the reason someone is there and a large barred door.
Industry & Trade
Trade caravans visit frequently generally offering goods in exchange for food or other scrap that they may sell elsewhere. The steady export of what food they have left over if any is there main and only real export save whatever scrap different settlers may gather.
Guilds and Factions
The settlement has two main factions. The old names and the wastelanders. The wastelanders are generally considered to be those who are not at least third generation within the settlement, where as they would seek trade and alliances or at least communication with other settlements or people who wander the wasteland the old names would rather retain their isolation and reinforce their walls. Effectively keeping out anyone else who may wish to interact with them, be it trade or some other form of alliance.
