Slime
Basic Information
Anatomy
This monster is a green to brown viscous blob. It is mainly shapeless.
Genetics and Reproduction
Slimes reproduce using binary fission: the creature has to grow to twice its starting size and then split in two. The time it takes for this process to happen depends on how much the slime can eat.
Ecology and Habitats
The weather can't be too harsh for a slime to live in it. They tend to like small spaces where they can burrow so they're often spotted in forests and mountains.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They forage for anything edible, from fruits to carcasses. They can hunt living beings when very hungry but at other times they're too slow to catch any prey.
Behaviour
There is no particular psychology noted for this species. It's as if they were simple bacteria.
Additional Information
Domestication
No one tried to domesticate them since they don't seem to react to anything other than hunger and fear but they're raised in farms for their meat.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
Slime meat can be used as gelatin and it is edible. However, it tastes the same as what it ate when alive so they're fed accordingly to their usage.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
It only percieves its environment by touch and is very sensitive to vibrations. It doesn't have eyes or ears.
