Causes
The illness often begins in mid-adolescence to early adulthood and lasts for 10 to 30 years without any known cause.
Symptoms
It is a slowly developing, chronic, illness. It is characterized by the emergence of "roots" on the skin: starting from the feet, the skin takes on the appearance of roots, as if a climbing plant was growing under it. They appear slightly brown and painful and they slowly go up, until they cover the whole body. Eventually, the skin ends up looking like tree bark.
Treatment
There is no cure, only methods of relieving the pain and slowing its progression with a variety of medicinal herbs.
Prognosis
Unfortunately, the patient, from the onset of the affliction, will gradually suffer from paralysis, until they are unable to breathe.
