Cannabis insaniam

Cannabis insaniam is a species of cannabis brought to the island by ancient Polynesians that made it to the island around 30,000 years ago. It quickly integrated into the biosphere of Skull Island and adapted an extreme way of avoiding being consumed by the many herbivorous species on the island, and developed a bright red colour to help herbivores recognize it from other plants. C. insaniam has a THC level of 70.3%, in comparison, the previous highest level of THC recorded was 37.28%. This extreme percentage as a noticeable effect on even the largest of herbivores, causing them great distress when assumed hallucinations set in. When consumed by a human the effect is almost instantaneous, hallucinations and extreme fits of laughter are first observed, followed by lethargy and hunger. Any amount above a gram is considered dangerous with psychosis and even insanity setting in quickly when consumed above the safe amount. C. insaniam is used by the Iwi in their many rituals but are also used for medicinal and recreationally purposes.
