El Dorado
El Dorado, the City of Gold, was uncovered after the sole living Atlantian disclosed its location to the GDF. Like maybe lost cities and remote locations, El Dorado appeared to have been heavily influenced by the existence of hyperfauna with monuments dedicated to many kaiju found throughout the city. According to Quint, El Dorado was a city built during a joint effort between Atlantians and the Aztecs to mine not just gold, but the rare ore known as Orichalcum. Much like Skull Island, El Dorado was cloaked with advanced technology, the cloaking field has a memetic effect on humans, causing them to eventually get turned around and away from the city. The only way through this field is to follow a very specific map, of which was provided by Quint himself. Unlike Atlantis or even the Aztec empire, El Dorado still holds a population of people, some with Atlantian ancestry. Contact with these people was remarkably easy, with languages such as Greek, Latin and Nahuatl being prominent in their society. Like the Iwi people of Skull Island, the Doradians have a special relationship with the kaiju living in the area, such as the Goldons, a species of reptilian hyperfauna said to be genetically engineered by the Atlantians to guard the city and the alpha kaiju of the region; Tezcatlipoca, a feline kaiju.
