Gigantimimus jira (Gino/Zilla) is an ancient relative of both Godzilla and Dagon, and a part of a subfamily of Gojiramorphs know as "Godzilla Mimics." The first example of Batesian mimicry within hyperfauna, Zilla and its kin most likely fooled other kaiju into believe it was a Gigantis, its physically outline, although distinct clearly is meant to mimic the aforementioned kaiju. Zilla's roar almost perfectly copies the vocalizations displayed by both Godzilla and Dagon, although generally more high pitched. The individual that attacked New York City Zilla Prime, also known as Gino, was the last surviving member of its species, though the circumstances that led to this aren't understood. Although it is theorized that this species goes through extreme population fluctuations. Gino was capable of asexual reproduction, although it was later discovered the entire species was not capable of this. Gino nested in Madison Square Garden, now known as Outpost 98. It is unknown how many eggs were laid but the estimate is into the hundreds. The nest was connected by a series of tunnels dug underneath the city within the day the creature was active, with one entrance located underwater in East River. The nest was stocked with fish collected by the adult for the infants to feed on upon birth. The infants were raptor-like pack hunters, although they preferred fish, they quickly mistook Titan Team for food due to the smell of fish covering them. Study of the infant carcasses show that there were three types of infants; true males, true females, and asexuals, of which Gino was one of. This strange phenomenon appears to have developed as a safety net to ensure the species would not become hunted to extinction by larger hyperfauna. Gino was slain in its battle with Godzilla.

Gino's intelligence was simply defined as animalistic cunning, capable of setting traps and ambushes during combat and possessed only one ability known as Power Breath, however this was just highly concentrated methane breath that ignited when a spark was introduced. All these could not be said about the only surviving offspring of Gino, Zilla. Zilla possessing immense intelligence, possibly rivaling Kong. This intelligence is used to its fullest in combat, it can quickly learn about its opponents and exploit weaknesses, but also can be used to understand the emotions of other hyperfauna. Zilla has demonstrated what can only be described as compassion and loyalty, most notably to its "adopted father," a member of Titan Team, who which it had imprinted on at birth. Zilla appears to know the general location of its adopted father regardless of distance, however a device utilizing recorded calls of Gino are used to summon Zilla to precise locations. Zilla possesses an atomic breath similar to Godzilla, although it is green in colour and less destructive, its theorized it obtained this ability by absorbing Godzilla's radiation while it was still within its egg. While Gino was harmed by standard military weaponry, Zilla possesses no such weakness, demonstrating far more defense and endurance, and even capable of holding its own against hyperfauna far larger and more dangerous then it. Zilla has been genetically identified as a true male, meaning unless it can find a way to reproduce, the death of Zilla would mean the end of the species.
