Megaprimatus denham

M. denham is an extinct species of Megaprimatus, carbon dating has dated the last M. denham to have gone extinct around 10,000 years ago, roughly around the time the earthquakes and flooding occurred. Where M. kong lived in the highlands of Skull Island, M. denham lived in the lowlands, supported by more M. denham fossils being found in the flooded regions of the island than M. kong. Based on fossil evidence, M. denham grew to about 25 meters tall however favoured a quadrupedal stance like the species close relatives, the Gorillas and much like the gorilla, M. denham’s diet was almost completely plant based. Based on this, it’s theorized that M. denham is the more basal species of the Megaprimatus family.
