Typhon

Draconis typhon

Draconis typhon (Typhon) is a massive sea slug resembling a cross between blue dragon sea slug and a manta ray. Typhon is an extremely fast swimmer, capable of reaching 332 Kilometers per hour. It's true max speed, however, is seen when the creature flies. Using it's broad, thin wing-like appendages, the kaiju is able to hover above the surface of the water, using the ground-air effect to propel itself at incredible speeds while using very little energy. Typhon is able to fly at speeds of Mach 1, however it is only capable of this when above water. While flying over land, the creature is merely gliding using the momentum it gained over the ocean. When grounded, the creature can use its many finger-like structures on its wings to pull itself along. It can also stand on its 5 tails for short periods of time, and even propel itself forward with them. The speed this creature moves at mixed with the strange process causes water to evaporate almost immediately, which influences weather patterns, allowing for large tropical storms to follow in its wake.
Typhon has adapted to benefit from the storms it creates, employing bio conductors resembling barbs located between each finger-like appendage to attract lightning strikes. This electricity is then stored in the creature's body, and can be used to cause strong electrical pulses around itself, or it can be used in tandem with the barbed conductors to send directed shocks into a target. When not flying or swimming, Typhon is presumed to be crawling along the ocean floor to avoid detection.
