When the asteroid struck Earth 66 million years ago, it took a dynasty 165 million years old with it. But one survivor of this event showcases that the rulers of old are not to be forgotten. Born from the ashes of the fire that ended the Age of Dinosaurs, Tyrant is a prime example of a bygone age. Brutish and aggressive in nature, Tyrant is a formidable brawler and possesses the power of the very cosmic event that ended his kin's reign. Mutated by the highly radioactive dust clouds left by the asteroid, which has been proven to have possessed a high concentration of orichalcum, this once normal tyrannosaur became the kaiju known as Tyrant alongside its apparent enemy; Eon.

However, both kaiju were sent into dormancy before truly mutating, Tyrant himself was buried underneath the earth. Overtime his body mutated to incorporate the earth itself into his biology. Skin covered in layers of hardened volcanic rock, occasionally spit by glowing heat vents and dotted with a tapestry of jewels and ores. Tyrant's abilities are compared to that of a personified apocalypse, his breath attack consists of thundering explosions and magma spews. The flanks of Tyrant are lined with internal pockets of nitroglycerin-like gas, despite Tyrant's internal temperature of nearly 2000K, these pockets are kept cool until they are needed, in which then they are super heated, and the resulting explosions are expelled through the heat vents.

Tyrant's physical prowess is nothing to scoff at either, being a tyrannosaur means Tyrant's biteforce is among one of the strongest in the kaiju world, and this is only bolstered by his now three-fingered claws and massive clubbed tail. However despite the ancient primal aggression housed within, Tyrant has been observed being surprisingly docile and gentle, especially during his time on Outpost 54: Monster Island. There a delicate peace has been founded among the residents, Tyrant has been documented caring for Zilla's young while he and his mate are absent. This relationship has further strengthened the perception of kaiju as more than just mindless monsters.
